God’s word is very clear: “all [people] have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). It is equally clear that “the wages of sin are death” (Romans 6:23), and “unless you [we] are converted … you [we] will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3, italics added).

The good news: God be thanked; forgiveness is possible—no matter how great our sin. Scripture: “repent and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19, italics added).

What does it mean to be converted? What does conversion involve? Check out the nineteen examples of conversion revealed in the New Testament, listed on the chart inside, for a Biblical answer.
